2004 The exhibition “Ediciones Cemento” (Cement Editions) was held at Galería Forum and curated by Emilio Tarazona. It reflects the contradictory relationship between nature and modernity in Lima, offering a critique of the city’s unchecked growth and environmental neglect.

Cement bags and cement in its various states served as the raw material for the project’s design. Paradoxically, the logos on the cement bags allude to nature and geography: Sol, Yura, Atlas, Andes. The exhibition presented a series of photographs, drawings juxtaposed with cement bags, cement formworks, ready-mades, and collages made with cement bag logos, along with three in situ installations: Huaca del Sol, Tree, and Cement.
